Refund and cancellation
Scope
These terms apply to professional engagements described on this site: transaction flow reporting, interaction pattern reviews, event definition workshops, and reporting cadence retainers. They do not cover product purchases or shipping, which we do not offer.
Eligibility
Refunds depend on how much scheduled work has started and whether a deposit was paid. Written estimates state the deposit amount and cancellation windows for that engagement.
Timeframes
- Cancel 10 or more business days before a scheduled workshop start: full refund of fees paid for that session, minus non-recoverable venue costs if any were prepaid on your behalf.
- Cancel fewer than 10 business days before a workshop: 50% refund of the session fee, or credit toward a rescheduled date within 90 days.
- Multi-week reporting engagements: if cancelled before mapping workshops begin, fees paid are refunded minus any discovery hours already delivered at the quoted hourly equivalent.
- After mapping has started: partial refunds reflect unfinished stages only; completed stages (discovery, inventory, delivered packs) are non-refundable.
Non-refundable items
Completed report packs, delivered glossaries, and hours already facilitated are non-refundable. Retainers for a month already in progress are non-refundable for that month once production has begun.
Deposits
Engagements may require a deposit to reserve start dates. Deposits apply to the final invoice. They are refundable only under the cancellation windows above.
Rescheduling and no-shows
Workshop dates may be rescheduled once without fee if notice arrives at least five business days ahead. No-shows for workshops without notice forfeit the session fee. Reporting cadence calls missed by the client are not refunded; we offer one makeup call in the following month.
Work already started and materials
If we have purchased third-party materials solely for your engagement with your written approval, those costs are non-refundable once ordered. Draft diagrams and notes produced before cancellation remain our working materials unless assigned in writing.
Refund process and method
Email contact@datastreamapps.digital with your engagement reference and reason. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval. Bank transfer fees charged by intermediaries are deducted when the bank requires them.
Retainer cancellation
Month-to-month retainers end with 30 days’ written notice. No refund is issued for unused days inside a paid month after production for that month has started.
Exceptions
Mandatory consumer protections under Korean law take precedence where they apply. Force majeure that permanently prevents delivery may result in a pro-rata refund of unused prepaid fees after documented costs.
